Little Artists

Monday, Thursday, Friday

15:30-16:30 (60 mins)

Little Artists is a process-based art class that values how children create, rather than how “good” or “polished” the final artwork looks.

Through moving their hands, exploring colors, and engaging with a variety of materials, children experience the joy of drawing and making — with their whole bodies and senses.

All art materials are carefully selected to be safe and age-appropriate.

From an early age, children naturally learn that there is no single right answer in art, and that perfection is not required.

There are no tasks that are so difficult that children lose confidence.

Each lesson is thoughtfully designed within a gentle, reassuring framework, allowing children to feel safe while fully immersing themselves in the creative process.

Rather than focusing on “I did it perfectly!”,we celebrate “I tried and did it my own way!”

Little Artists is a class that nurtures the emotional foundation
for lifelong creativity.

Fees

  • Enrollment fee: ¥6,000

  • Tuition: ¥7,500 per month (3 lessons/month)

This Class May Be a Good Fit for Children Who…

  • Enjoy drawing and making things with their hands

  • Can enjoy spending time focusing in a calm, gentle environment

  • Are able to listen to simple explanations and try to follow basic class rules

  • Like expressing themselves in their own way, even at a slow and steady pace

  • Would like to create in a quiet atmosphere where they feel safe and comfortable

A Gentle Note for Families

In the Little Artists class, we place great importance on creating a calm and comfortable environment where children can create safely and happily.  If the following behaviors are observed consistently, this class may not be the right fit at this time:

  • Frequently using a loud voice

  • Moving constantly and finding it difficult to focus on making

  • Having difficulty handling art materials and tools with care

In such cases, we may feel that this is simply not the right timing yet.  Our highest priority is that each child experiences creative time that feels comfortable, positive, and pressure-free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Young Creators

Monday and Friday

17:30-19:00 (90 mins)

Young Creators is an art and crafting class where children expand their imagination within a loosely structured, supportive framework.

Each lesson is led by a practicing artist, who brings thoughtful prompts designed to open new ways of thinking.

In a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, children are guided to develop their own ideas and explore their personal forms of expression.

Students work with high-quality, professional-grade materials, and at times explore art history or the ideas and approaches of artists past and present.

Rather than focusing only on technique, the class places importance on how to think, how to observe, and where ideas begin.

Instead of searching for the “right” answer, children learn to trust and develop their own perspectives.

Young Creators is a class that nurtures curiosity and expressive confidence through the practice of art.

Fees

  • Enrollment fee: ¥6,000

  • Tuition: ¥8,500 per month (3 lessons/month)

This Class May Be a Good Fit for Children Who…

  • Enjoy drawing and making, and like to work carefully and with focus

  • Value quiet time and a calm environment for concentration

  • Would like to explore and develop their own ideas and forms of expression

  • Are curious about working with a variety of materials and techniques

  • Feel comfortable engaging in creative work in a peaceful setting

A Gentle Note for Families

In the Young Creators class, we place great importance on creating an environment where each child can feel safe and fully immersed in their creative work.  To help maintain this atmosphere, we kindly ask for your understanding of the following:

  • Children are able to listen to simple explanations and make an effort to follow class guidelines

  • They can be mindful of others and avoid disrupting the creative flow of the group

  • They are able to handle art materials and tools with care

If a child consistently finds it difficult to remain focused —
for example, by frequently calling out loudly or moving around the space — this class may not be the best fit.

These guidelines are in place not to limit children,
but to protect a creative environment where everyone can truly enjoy making art.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Trial Lesson

Class Observation

At Hop Step ART!, trial lessons are offered by joining a regular class session.  We do not create special “trial-only” activities.

This allows families to experience the actual atmosphere of the class — its pace, materials, and the feeling of the space — just as it is.

A trial lesson is an opportunity to see whether this environment is the right fit for your child.

Trial Lesson Fees

  • Little Artists (ages 4 – Grade 2)
    ¥1,500

  • Young Creators (elementary & junior high school students)
    ¥1,800

What to Wear & Bring

We use paint and other art materials during class.
Please have your child wear clothes that can get messy.
There is no need to bring anything.
All materials are provided by the studio.

Parent Participation

For trial lessons only, one parent or guardian may observe the class.  In regular classes, children attend independently.
